Booking Process

No. We handle all vehicle access. You don't need a Tesla account — just show up (or receive delivery) and drive.

There are six steps: (1) Choose your vehicle and dates. (2) Submit your request and complete driver verification — upload your license and a selfie. (3) Our team reviews your verification, typically within a few hours. (4) If approved, you receive a secure Stripe payment link via email. (5) After payment, your booking is confirmed and you gain access to your secure booking portal. (6) Before pickup, your host adds exact location details, photos, and instructions to your portal.

No. Submitting a request is not a confirmation. Your booking is only confirmed after: (a) your driver verification is reviewed and approved by our team, and (b) payment is completed via the Stripe link we send you. You'll receive email updates at each step.

Most verifications are reviewed within 1–3 hours during business hours. You'll receive an email as soon as a decision is made. If you haven't heard back within 24 hours, please contact us.

We recommend at least 24 hours for pickup, and at least 3 hours for delivery. Same-day requests may be unavailable depending on scheduling. Booking in advance gives verification time to complete before your start date.

Yes. Contact us before your scheduled return date and we'll check availability. Extensions are invoiced separately.

Verification & Privacy

Driver verification protects both you and us. Every renter must be at least 25 years old with a valid U.S. driver's license. We verify every driver before approving payment — this keeps the platform secure and our fleet well-protected.

Your driver's license and selfie are uploaded to private, encrypted storage (Vercel Blob). They are never publicly accessible. Only our team can view them during the review process — through a secure admin dashboard. Images are automatically deleted after 30 days. We never share your documents with third parties.

You'll receive an email explaining the outcome. Common reasons include a license that doesn't meet requirements, unclear photos, or other concerns. Contact us directly if you believe there was an error — we review every case personally.

Payment

You are only charged after your driver verification is approved. We send you a secure Stripe payment link, and payment is collected only when you complete checkout on Stripe's encrypted page. No charge is made at the time of request submission.

We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Cash and bank transfers are not accepted.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. PVSLOG does not store, access, or handle your card number or payment credentials. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's encrypted checkout page and never touch our systems.

Payment links expire 45 minutes after being issued. If yours expired, simply contact us and we'll issue a new one. Your booking request and approval remain intact.

Cancellations made 48 or more hours before your pickup time are fully refunded. Cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a fee equal to one day's rental rate. No-shows are non-refundable. Contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel.

Booking Portal

Every confirmed booking comes with a private, secure booking portal — a unique link sent to your email. Inside, you can track your booking status, view your pricing breakdown, see pickup details (once your host adds them), sign your rental agreement, submit your return location, and message your host directly. It's accessible anytime from any device.

Your portal link is sent via email after your booking is confirmed. The link is unique to your booking and expires after 30 days. If you can't find it, check your spam folder or contact us for a resend.

Yes. The portal is secured with a unique access token and optionally requires the last 4 digits of your phone number for additional protection. The link is private — do not share it with others.

After payment, your portal displays the rental agreement tied to your booking. You can review the key terms and sign digitally with your full name. This covers mileage policy, damage responsibility, prohibited uses, and cleanup policy. A full version is always available at pvslog.com/rental-agreement.

Delivery & Pickup

Select 'Deliver to Me' during booking and enter your address. We deliver across Northern Virginia, Washington DC, National Harbor MD, and Richmond VA. Delivery fees are based on distance from our Stafford, VA base and are confirmed before payment.

For confirmed bookings, your host adds the exact pickup location, parking instructions, and photos directly to your booking portal before your rental starts. You'll receive an email notification when pickup details are ready.

Yes. Self-pickup from our Stafford, VA home base is always free. Aquia Harbour is also in our free zone.

Zone 1 (5–20 miles): $15–$45. Zone 2 (20–40 miles): $40–$65. Zone 3 (40–60 miles): $60–$85. Zone 4 (60–75 miles): $75–$100. Zone 5 (75–95 miles): $90–$115. Zone 6 (95–130 miles): $115–$145. Fees are confirmed before payment.

Yes. Airport and hotel deliveries are available within our coverage area. Airports such as IAD, DCA, BWI, and RIC are all serviceable.

Yes. Deliveries scheduled between 12:00 AM and 6:00 AM carry a flat $25 late-night surcharge in addition to the standard delivery fee.

When returning the vehicle, you can submit the return location, photos, and notes directly from your booking portal. This documents the handoff with a timestamp and protects both parties. We strongly recommend submitting at least one photo showing where the vehicle is parked.

Vehicle & Rules

Yes. All drivers must be 25 years of age or older with a valid U.S. driver's license.

Each vehicle includes 200 miles per day. This covers most local and regional trips comfortably. Mileage in excess of the 200-mile daily allowance is billed at $0.45/mile and invoiced separately after your rental ends. Contact us before booking if you're planning high-mileage travel and we'll discuss your options.

Please return the vehicle with at least 20% battery remaining. Returns below that threshold are subject to a $25 fee.

No. Any evidence of smoking or vaping results in a $250 cleaning fee, no exceptions.

Pets require prior written approval. Unauthorized pets may result in cleaning charges.

Excessive mess is subject to a cleaning fee starting at $75 and up, depending on the level of cleaning and interior detailing required. Light debris may be at the lower end; excessive dirt, food mess, or hard-to-remove stains will be higher. Smoking violations carry a separate $250 fee. Returning the vehicle in the same general condition as received avoids any fee.

Protection Plans

Basic liability coverage is included with every rental at no extra cost. It carries a $2,500 deductible and covers standard liability.

Standard Protection (+$25/day) reduces your deductible to $1,000 and adds collision coverage with 24/7 priority roadside assistance. Premium Protection (+$50/day) provides zero deductible, full comprehensive coverage, and rental replacement.

No. Damage resulting from prohibited activities — off-road driving, unauthorized drivers, rideshare/commercial use, or any violation of the rental agreement — is excluded from all protection plans.
